Guidelines help you stay on track with your goals. They provide best practices and identify potential challenges. TaskSpur offers AI-powered guidelines to support your journey toward goal completion.

Generating Guidelines When Creating a New Goal

  1. Start creating a new goal by filling in your goal details, including the description.
  2. Add a due date (remember: without a due date, it will be classified as a Dream).
  3. Choose your priority level (Low, Medium, or High).
  4. Under "Pro Features," check the "Generate Guidelines" option.
  5. Click the "Create" button.
  6. Wait a few moments while Ari (TaskSpur's AI assistant) generates your guidelines.
  7. You'll see a notification from Ari that confirms the completion of your request on the goal card

Adding Guidelines to an Existing Goal

If you already created a goal but didn't generate guidelines:

  1. Find your goal card in the Goals section.
  2. Click the menu button (three dots) on the goal card.
  3. Select "Guidelines" from the dropdown menu.

  1. Wait a few seconds while Ari creates your guidelines.
  2. Again, you should be able to look at Ari’s message on the card to know if your request has been completed.

Viewing Your Generated Guidelines

  1. Open the goal details by clicking on the Details button of the goal card.

  1. Navigate to the "Guidelines" tab (between "Plan" and "History").
  2. Review the generated content, which typically includes:
    • A description of what's involved in achieving your goal
    • Best Practices (specific actions to take)
    • Challenges (potential obstacles to overcome)

Regenerating Guidelines

If you feel the guidelines don't align with your vision:

  1. Navigate to the Guidelines tab in your goal details.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the guidelines.
  3. Click the "Regenerate" button.
  4. Wait while Ari creates new guidelines and open the card again to view the newly-generated Guidelines.

Tips for Using Goal Guidelines

  • Use the best practices as a checklist when working on your goal.
  • Prepare strategies for overcoming the listed challenges.
  • Refer back to guidelines regularly to stay focused.
  • Share guidelines with accountability partners if you're working on goals together.

Remember: Guidelines are suggestions to help you succeed. You can adapt them to your specific situation as needed.
